Sierra Club honors Karen Wise

“Take care of the Earth” is what environmental educator Karen Wise tells students she meets at Lake Wissota State Park’s Outdoor Classroom. She was honored at an April 10 dinner by the Chippewa Valley Sierra Club for her creative work at empowering children to make a difference.
She received the Sierra Club’s annual Earthgreen award.
Wise teaches students coming to the Karen Lea Nature Center at Lake Wissota State Park on school field trips, mixing fun, wonder, and mystery in her teaching. She…
