Chippewa, surrounding counties see unemployment decrease

Chippewa County saw a decrease in its unemployment rate in March, as did surrounding counties.
According to figures from the state Department of Workforce Development, the March rate for Chippewa County is 7.8 percent, a decrease from 8.2 percent for February.
For the Eau Claire metropolitan area, which includes Chippewa Falls, the rate also fell from 7.2 percent in February to 6.9 percent for March.
